Cresco Yard Waste Collection Program

Cresco will begin its 2017 fall yard waste collection program on Monday, October 2nd. Yard wast must be out on the boulevard before 7:00 am. Only the specified paper yard wast bags should be used. Yard Waste calendars and information are available at City Hall, online at cityofcresco.com, on local Mediacom channel 3, and the Cresco Public Library.

Additional days are: October 16th and 30th, and November 6th and 13th.

Cresco Dementia Caregiver Support Group meeting

The Cresco Dementia Caregiver Support Group meets the first Friday of every month at 10 a.m. at the Cresco Public Library Program Room (downstairs).

Cresco Public Library is handicap-accessible.

The Cresco Dementia Caregiver Support Group is available for people to build a support system with people who understand the challenges inherent in dementia care-giving. The Alzheimer's Association caregiver support groups, conducted by trained facilitators, are a safe place for caregivers, family and friends of people with dementia to develop a support system, exchange practical information on care-giving challenges and possible solutions, talk through issues and ways of coping, share feelings, needs and concerns, and learn about community resources.

This program is presented by the Alzheimer's Association East Central Iowa Chapter. For more information, please contact their office at: 319-294-9699.

John Finch Wildfire Tour

John Finch, a Christian singer/songwriter from Louisiana will be at Notre Dame Parish on October 25th. The concert will be from 6:30-7:45pm with doors opening at 6pm.
